Grateful for generous friends and neighbors

I can't begin to tell you how fortunate and thankful we are for all the friends who have been so generous with their time and talents in helping us get things done at the camp. In 3 months we'll have owned Thunder BRidge for 2 years. That's hard to comprehend. It seems like yesterday we took on what felt like a monster of a project and now it's just part of our lives and yet still feels so new and exciting.

Even though we jump from one project to another without completing everything, we're getting a lot done. Most of this couldn't be done without the help of our friends who have shared their gifts with us.

John Meister, master builder and great friend, comes to help us once a week with whatever project we throw at him. We wouldn't even know where to begin to accomplish many of the tasks he's helped us with. We're making huge progress because of John.

Eben Ostby is our brains when it comes to technology. He's installed our cameras, keeps our wifi and fiber optic "stuff" (see how techy I am?) working. He's also helped us with plumbing, digging, tile lifting and much more. We can't even begin to tell you how much his friendship and talents mean to us.

This week I painted over James's Eat More Veggies cow. It now sports our Thunder BRidge logo and will be our sign for the camp. It will sit near the road for visitors to see. Our logo was designed by local artist and dear friend, Jennifer Cox, https://www.jcoxart.com. We absolutely love this logo with the pileated woodpecker.

I would not have been able to copy and paint the logo on the cow without the help of Ben Frey, one of the artists at the camp, https://www.benjaminfrey.com, who made stencils for us, which was awesome.

The stencils made it possible for us to place our logo around the camp. So cool.

This afternoon our friend and neighbor, Harper Donahoe, showed up and asked when we needed his help cutting grass. Really? You'd help us cut our grass for no other reason than you just want to help us out? It's impossible to grasp how all these folks are willing to take time out of their busy schedules to help us just because they're good people.

I tried posting photos in this blog but WIX is telling me I need to upgrade my storage limit and I'm not ready to do that. I'll see what I can do before the next blog post.

Thank you friends I mentioned and those I left out. There are so many more. We appreciate you more than you know.
